Abstract

 

ABSTRACT

                        The main objectives of this thesis were: 1) to study the factors of the individual of the educational officers in Phrapariyattidhamma School, department of general studies, in Roi-et province, 2) to study the level-scale of Saraniyadhamma’s (virtues for fraternal living) implement in  doing works of the educational officers in Phrapariyattidhamma School , department of general studies, in the area of Roi-et province, 3) to do a comparative study of age, gender, and educational achievement and the implement of Saraniyadhamma of the educational officers in Phrapariyattidhamma School, department of general studies, in Roi-et province, and 4) to study a process of applying Saraniyadhamma in doing works of the educational officers in Phrapariyattidhamma School, department of general studies, in Roi-et province. 103 of the educational officers (both monastic members and lay people) in Phrapariyattidhamma School, department of general studies, in the area of Roi-et province were the sample in this study, and had reliability at 0.84. This study applied Yamane’s methods in selecting the sample.  And, the statistics used in this study were: Frequency, Percentage, Means, Standard deviation, T- test (Independent sample), F-test (One way ANOVA), and multiple comparison by using Scheffe’ method.                        

                        The result of the study found that

                         The factors of the individual of the educational officers in Phrapariyattidhamma School, department of general studies, in Roi-et province could be summarized thus male was 57.32 % and 42.68 % was for the female; age between 20-35 years old 30.49 %; age 36-50 was 36.59 % ; and age between 51-65 was 32.93 %. Among them, 24.39 % not yet achieved bachelor degree; those who graduated bachelor degree was 54.88 % ; and higher than bachelor degree was 20.73 %.  

                        The  level-scale of  the Saraniyadhamma or virtues for fraternal living’s  implement in doing works of the educational officers in Phrapariyattidhamma School, department of general studies, in the area of Roi-et province, at the whole picture,  resulted in high scale which could be categorized from largest to smallest as following: Mettakayakamma (to be amiable in deed, openly and in private), Ditthisamabbata    (to be endowed with right views along with one’s fellows, openly and in private), Silasamabbata  (to keep without blemish the rules of conduct along with one’s fellows, openly and in private), Mettamanokamma (to be amiable in thought, openly and in private), Mettavacikamma (to be amiable in word, openly and in private), and Sadharanabhogita  (to share any lawful gains with virtuous fellows).

There was no different in term of gender in applying Saraniyadhamma in doing works of the educational officers in Phrapariyattidhamma School, department of general studies, in Roi-et province, at the whole.

The implement Saraniyadhamma in doing works of  the  educational officers in Phrapariyattidhamma School, department of general studies, in Roi-et province had some difference in term of age in which it had a remarkable statistical significance at .05. While examining in each aspects, it had remarkable statistical significance at .05 in 3 aspects namely:  Sadharanabhogita, Silasamabbata , and Ditthisamabbata, but there were no differences for the other 3 aspects in term of statistic.

The result of comparative approached in applying Saraniyadhamma in doing works of  the educational officers in Phrapariyattidhamma School, department of general studies, in Roi-et province, in term of educational achievement , had no difference.

 

The recommendation  for implement the Saraniyadhamma  in doing works of the Educational officers in Phrapariyattidhamma School, department of general studies, in Roi-et province found that the director should care about his controlees and gave them advice when it was suitable. Moreover, the colleagues should concern about righteous practices toward each number and always trained oneself in proper moral conducts. Therefore, it was very important to forester knowledge and understanding of Buddhist principles to the educational officers in Phrapariyattidhamma School, department of general studies, in Roi-et province for the progressive educational achievement.
