Abstract

 

ABSTRACT 

The objectives of this research are: 1) to study of leadership according to principle of Brahmavihara IV of chief executive Tambol Administrative     Organizations in Thatphanom district, Nakhonphanom province, 2) to compare the  staff’s opinion towards leadership according to principle of Brahmavihara IV of  chief executive Tambol Administrative Organizations in Thatphanom district, Nakhonphanom province, and 3) to study the problems, obstacles and suggestions to leadership according to principle of Brahmavihara IV of chief executive Tambol Administrative Organizations in Thatphanom district, Nakhonphanom province. This study has used mixed research. The sample consisted of 210 staff who came to practice Dhamma in Dhamma Practice Centre. The tool for collecting data was the questionnaire with both closed and open-ended questions. The statistical techniques  used in data analysis are the frequency, percentage (%), mean ( ), standard deviation (S.D.). To test the hypotheses, t-test and F-test or one way analysis of variance and least significant difference or LSD are employed. The data collected from key informants by method of In-depth Interview are analyzed by Content Analysis technique.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The findings of this research are concluded as follows :

          1.The overall  opinions towards leadership according to principle of Brahmavihara IV of chief executive Tambol Administrative Organizations in Thatphanom district, Nakhonphanom province have been found at high level ( = 3.73). When considering into each aspect, it is noted at the high level in all aspects.

          2. With regard to comparison related to opinions to leadership according to principle of Brahmavihara IV of chief executive Tambol Administrative Organizations in Thatphanom district, Nakhonphanom province, classified by personal factors, it has been found that sex, age, level of education, status, income and experience have no significant differences, thus rejecting the set hypotheses. While position and place have significant differences, therefore accepting the formulated hypotheses.   

          3. For the suggestions of leadership according to principle of Brahmavihara IV of chief executive Tambol Administrative Organizations in Thatphanom district, Nakhonphanom province, the results reveal that: (1) Loving-Kindness: it should be assertive and decided with a valid reason, it should have good vision, intelligence, and creative thinking to understand the problems and accessible to people’s requirements, (2) Compassion:  it should be an open-mind, be assistant to release the sufferings of their subordinates, equitable management must include the principles of their faith as a public benefit, (3) Sympathetic Joy: it should be congratulated for a gift of appreciation and morale on personnel success, and (4) Neutrality: it should be always for justice and neutral in reward and punishments without leaning either one partisan.

4. The results from Interview reveal that: in present day  administrative at all levels have to hold Loving-Kindness, Compassion, Sympathetic Joy and Neutrality and then to wish Subordinate to be happiness when he is doubtful, tormented and pain, we could help him to get rid of all these things and when the subordinates succeed  in the administrative organizations, they should have been congratulated  and supported to strengthen the  rightness and  regulations  for  leadership according to principle of Brahmavihara IV of chief executive Tambol Administrative Organizations in Thatphanom district, Nakhonphanom province.
