Abstract

 

ABSTRACT

              The purpose of research was to study the application of vipassana  meditation by the way of foundation of mindfulness in daily life : a case study of dhamma practicing persons at Wat Bhaddantaasabharam Chonburi province. The research has an objective (1) To study the principles of vipassana  meditation on the way of foundation of mindfulness in the Tripitaka. (2) to study the level of the application of vipassana meditation on the way of foundation of mindfulness in daily life (3) to study the level of differences of the application of vipassana meditation on the way of foundation of mindfulness in daily life. Comparing the individuals is Sex, age, level of education, occupation, Experience in religious practices. The samples used in this study consists of dhamma practicing persons, at Wat Bhaddantaasabharam, Chonburi province. Statistics apply Frequency Distribution, Mean, Percentage, Standard Deviation, t-test F-test The samples used in this study were all 339 persons and the equipment used in questionnaire. The Scope of time is the data collection survey from August to October 2554.

              1 Analysis of doctrines, the principles of vipassana meditation on the way of foundation of mindfulness in the Tripitaka. The findings of the study found the principles of vipassana  meditation on the way of foundation of mindfulness in the Tripitaka. The practice meditation by four Foundations of Mindfulness consciousness is the president Concentration to consider everything. The knowledge of, by the fact, Veritable Consideration or the aware body object Sensation, consciousness, Mental objects, The key objective is the Sorrows Recognizing that mental coverage training on a regular basis for relent disorder to mind is strong. Available in all of professional practice. Mental development, then there a peace. Are beneficial to themselves and the community, be elevated to a higher mental.

              2. General information of questionnaire respondents.

              The most of respondents of female is a percentage of 38.6 % in age more than 20 years old as of 54.5% more married as of 82.8% more high school level of education as of 58.1% more students 60.2% experience in practice than 2 times per year or more as of 53.6%

              3.The Level the application of vipassana meditation on the way of foundation of mindfulness in daily life

              The finding showed that the respondents have high level in the application of vipassana meditation on the way of foundation of mindfulness in daily life An overview is body object mean equal to 3.54 Sensation mean equal to 3.59 States of mind or consciousness mean equal to 34.8 States of mind or consciousness mean equal to 3.66.

              4. Difference in level the application of vipassana meditation on the way of foundation of mindfulness in daily life.

              The finding showed that the sample of age, high school level of education, students a different level of statistical significance is 0.01. The sample married, a different level of statistical significance is 0.05. The sample is sex, experience in practice more than 2 times per year, different level of statistical significance is 0.05.
