This thesis is a qualitative research in philosophy branch. This research is of the objective to analytically study the view point about the “Self” in Mr. Sekson Prasurtkul’s literary works according to the in Theravāda Philosophy. It is documentary research works by reading and analyzing the essence in the works by written Mr. Sekson of the number of 33. It is also to study the matter of “Self” in Theravāda Buddhist Philosophy by studying the data in the Tipitakas, Atthakathas and Sub-Commentaries including the connected documents with the objective to study the “Self” in Theravāda Buddhist scriptures with the help of the theory of the two types of “Truth” as the principles. It can found that the highest truth which is the ParamatthaSacca, the Supreme truth, refuses the matter of permanent self as just the emtiness which called “Suññata” The self at the level of Suppositional truth which is one of the instruments used for communication (language) in forming the understanding the human beings ways of living together. The term “Self” at the level of Suppositional truth can be accepted.

From the study of the viewpoint about the self in Mr. Sekson Prasurtkul literatures, it is found that the “self” can be divided into 3 types, namely: 1. The appearing in literacy works bodily self 2. The mental self 3. The specialized self. All the selves proposed in the research come from the 2 main factors, namely: 1. The life experience 2. The study through the theories. From these two studies, ones thought arises up to becoming the identity.

So, the self in Mr. Sekson Prasurtkul’s literary works is just the view point at the suppositional level. From Mr. Sekson’s life experience and theories, we can see the target of the human beings completion, that is the absolute absence of the suffering. When it is looked at according to Mr. Sekson’s, it is found that it is high truth in Theravāda Buddhist Philosophy, that is the Paramatha-Sacca, the highest truth.
