This research is of the descriptive analysis and the in-depth interviews of the patients in Kampong Cham Hospital in Cambodia. Samples are of 20 people.

The Results of the Research Showed that:

 (1) The Concept of Life and Death in Theravada Buddhism.

Regarding the life and death in Theravada Buddhism, the life and death appear to life without the limit of time or place. When one understands about the death, one should live without negligence in life, but should endeavor to do household work and should not live but should do various good works to oneself all the time. One should not underestimate the life in order to achieve the end of passion and attain the Nirvana.

(2) The Concept of the Three Characteristics.

The Three Characteristic Rules are the fixed ones. They are the common rules existing in nature. Everything in the rules of nature cannot be avoided.  All the things are under the states of these principles of reasons. Because all things are under the forms of a stream component.  All the things are made up of other sub - components to each other without steadiness.

(3) The Influences of Three Characteristics towards Life and Death.

Life and death in Theravada  Buddhism  are  what  happen  all  the  time  to  adjust  to life  with things that make life happy,  without causing other people to be in suffering with the help of Dharma as the guide line of life.  By this way, one can give up what will cause suffering to arise to oneself. Also, one can shend one’s life with mind- fullness and sufficiency inducing the preserving of the five precepts, the practising of the Dhamma, the developing of concentration and calming one’s mind, no matter what will happen.
