Abstract

 

ABSTRACT

     Death is inevitable and all human wishes a peaceful one. The preparation and self-training to encounter death is  what  we must strive and practice regularly. Mindfulness on death is a practice of carelessness. The purpose of  this thesis is to develop activities for mindfulness of death, and get ready to encounter death peacefully. This study used an experimental method where 12 volunteers took part in seven lasting 21 hours

The result found that  :

     1. Ten activities for mindfulness of death and get ready to encounter death peacefully developed by the researcher covered  all three characteristics principle.

     2. The participants’ scores of understanding of life according to the three characteristics principle improved at a high level after the activities.

     3. The  participants’ scores of understanding of the three characteristics  principle to abate sufferings improved at a high level after the activities.


 

 

     4. The participants’ scores of preparing to encounter death peacefully improved at a high level after the activities. 

      From this study the researcher found the importance to adopt the three characteristics principle to bring fruitful result to the society by teaching people to access to the Dhamma easily, especially on the mindfulness of death which most people are careless about through these activities.
