Abstract

ABSTRACT

This research is to study the life development according to the rules of Four Cakkas, the four wheels leading one to prosperity. It is of 3 objectives, namely :-

1.  To study the problems and the factors that make Thai lives lack of prosperity in Thai societies.

2.  To study the roles and the significance of Four Cakkas and the doctrinal principle that are involved.

3.  To study the creation of life prosperity according to the rules of Cakkas.

Form the research, it is found that the Thai societies are the ones with material prosperity development and social fame , but not with the mental development, owing to the fact that in the Thai people’s   minds, there are three defilements namely :- covetousness, anger and delusion. When these three defilements are in their minds,   they make their lives lack of prefect development just like the cars without the wheels which cannot go along the road.

The rules of the Four Cakkas can be a perfect vehicle which will lead one’s life to prosperity and success.

The rules of Four Cakkas consist of

1.             PatÚirüpadesaväsa ,  living in a suitable region.

2.             Sappurisüpassaya , association with a good man.

3.             Attasammäpanidhi , setting oneself in the right course.

4.             Pubbekatapuñyatä , the state of having done meritorious action in the past.

Moreover, there are other Buddhist Doctrinal principles bringing one’s life to more and more growth. They are Sappurisadhammas (good people’s seven doctrines), Dasakusalakammapathä (the ten wholesome courses of action), Catusaddhä (the four kinds of faith), Pancasiïla (the five precepts), Chadisa (the six directions), Däna (charity), and Dasapunnakiriyavatthu (the ten bases of meritorious actions).

To maintain one’s life completely according to the Rules of Four Cakkas, will lead one to have real prosperity in life, because to live in a suitable land with desirable food, with the scholars who behave themselves very well, is the collection of merits to oneself for the present, the future  and the supreme benefits.
