ABSTRACT

          The study was conducted Mixed Method Research consists of Qualitative Research and quantitative research. has three main objectives were 1) to study the Sangha’s Role on Preservting Thai Songdam Culture in Nakhonpathom Province, 2) to the Sangha’s Role on Preservting Thai Songdam Culture in Nakhonpathom Province, 3) to study problems, obstacles and the Sangha’s Role on Preservting Thai Songdam Culture in Nakhonpathom Province. Research conducted by the quantitative data collected from a sample of the population that is black people. 364 people in Nakhonpathom province is by way of a random cluster tool used for data collection consisted of questionnaires to analyze data by frequency Percentage, mean, standard deviation (S.D), hypothesis tested with T-test and F-test by One-Way ANOVA for more than 3 valued variables. In case of differentiation was found, it was compared by Least significant Difference : LSD. The data is collected by means of interviews with key informants interviewed by the 5 person analysis of the data using content analysis.

The results of research were found that ;

          1. The Sangha’s Role on Preservting Thai Songdam Culture in Nakhonpathom Province. Overall, the high level. The mean was 3.88.

          2. comparison the Sangha’s Role on Preservting Thai Songdam Culture in Nakhonpathom Province. Hypothesis testing, analysis of different variables were gender, education, occupation and income, the public opinion on the role of the clergy in the conservation of the black culture. Nakhon Pathom province. No difference. Therefore reject the hypothesis set. Their age difference is statistically significant at the 0.05 level, which is the assumption set.

3.. The interviews revealed that clergy have a role in the conservation of the black culture and black culture was then applied to the Buddha. And released to the community as well. The priests then brought to the Thai culture with the traditional black, but used to be very modern. This is considered the successor to the conservation of the generations to follow the black culture forever.

          4. Suggestions the Sangha’s Role on Preservting Thai Songdam Culture in Nakhonpathom Province. Found that conservation of the black culture should be taken seriously. Because culture is the best expression of humanity. The culture must be preserved unchanged from the original. It may lead to something more modern and practical applications of culture is correct. To be effective by period.
