ABSTRACT

The objectives of this thesis were as follows 1) To study the history on Buddhism dissemination of Phradhammakosajarn (Buddhadasa Bhikkhu) 2) To study the Role on Buddhism dissemination of Phradhammakosajarn (Buddhadasa Bhikkhu) 3) To study the feedback on Buddhism dissemination of Phradhammakosajarn (Buddhadasa Bhikkhu) towards Thai society, by qualitative research to find out data in terms of documents and interview according to the scope of research which has given, the data from study will be utilized in arademic field and Thai Sangha.

                The findings were as follows.

                ๑)The history of Buddhism dissemination of Phradhammakosajarn (Buddhadasa Bhikkhu) can be devided into three periods as follows 1) The primary Buddhism dissemination (during B.E. 2469 – 2485) found that he was a Dhamma teacher in Phrapariyattidamma (Dhamma Courses) and Wat Phraborommatatuchaiya and written the book title on “Tamruey - Phraarahan” and thee months Buddhism news, speech, sermon. 2) Buddhism dissemination in the middle time (during B.E. 2486 – 2529) found that he was disseminated Buddhism By Dhamma teaching and Dhamma speech in many places and written the book title on “ The wonder of Nippana”, Buddha Dhamma and peacefulness, Buddha Dhamma purposive of Democracy, the mountain of Buddhist way, Buddhistic Psychology. 3) Buddhism dissemination in the end (during B.E. 2530 –2536) found that he had written the book title on “common language and Dhamma language, Anapanasati (completed volume) and Maga Puja Desana”.

                ๒) The role in Buddhism dissemination of Phradhammakosajarn (Buddhadasa Bhikkhu) found that he was a Dhamma practitioner as origination for Dhamma practice by real ordination, real learning, real practice and teach Buddhist company for seriously practice and to be originated in Dhamma learning, to have secular and religious learning, to have endurance to study research on Buddhist principle as deeply after that he has disseminated to Buddhist company for learning and practicing and to have dissemination by lots of techniques and methods i.e. multi-media, documents, and variety of publishing news such as radio, television, art media, spiritual entertainment hall etc.

                ๓) The feedback on Buddhism dissemination of Phradhammakosajarn (Buddhadasa Phikkhu) towards Thai society found that there are varieties of aspects as following
1) The feedback on Buddhism dissemination especially feedback on religious personel, religious teaching, religious materials, religious ritual 2) The feedback on education by campaign to apply the rituals principle, moral, ethical back to educational institutes for learning and practicing as seriously 3) The feedback on natural resource and environment conservation especially focus on environment, to build any dwelling must be in harmony with nature, to be conservation on forest and all wild life in the area of Suanmokkhapalaram and to determine the Dhamma practitioners must be regarded with environment conservation in any way.
