Abstract

 

                        The objectives of this research were to study historical background and educational Institute administration using the Threefold Training Principles of Wat Phrabuddhapada Kaokradong School, Muang District, Buriram Province. Data was collected from Tipitaka of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya Version, related documents, and review of literature. Data analysis was done by description. The results of the research were as follows:-

1.            The school of Wat Phrabuddhapada Kaokradong is Karnkusol school of

Buddhist temples, established according to the religious works of temples in Buddhism on the work of welfare education. It is located on 1 Moo 13, Ban Namsub, Samet Sub-district, Muang District, Buriram Province, 31000. It has got 51 Rai of land, affiliated to Office of the Private Education Commission, Office of Education Area Buriram 1, Ministry of Education. It is granted the establishment license No. BR 1001/2552, dated 10th February B.E. 2552. The needs of establishment of the school are to respond to the wanting of Buriram Sangha Order, to comply to the temple work in Buddhism on the work of welfare education, to conform to the State and the Sangha Order’ policies on Buddhist Oriented School management, to produce the undergraduate students for Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, to be the institute for student teaching of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, and to be the place for studying trip on Buddhist Oriented School of general organizations. The management of the school is assigned in the school instrument which conformed to the objective of establishment, philosophy, vision, mission, curriculum, goal, policy, and strategy of the school. There are various aspects of development i.e. personnel, administration system, academics, budget, building and environment, media and source of learning, educational instrument, and public utilities and welfares. At present, the school is renowned and trusted to the community as proved by the continuous increasing of students in each academic year.

                        2. The school of Wat Phrabuddhapada Kaokradong uses the concept of Threefold

Training Principle to manage and to develop the school to get achievement in three aspects as follows:

1)            The aspect of conditions for the arising of right view; applying the

Threefold Training Principle to use in School administration by building two conditions for the arising of right view, namely, (1) Paratoghosa or another’s utterance which is the outer condition originated from society, called the way of Faith, that is every thing concerning with administration, and (2) Yonisomanasikara or reasoned attention which is the inner condition originated from selfness, called the way of wisdom, that is to understand all process of administration. To this aspect, what the school has already done is personnel, administration system, academics, budget, building and environment, media and source of learning, educational instrument, and public utilities and welfares.

2)            The aspect of the development process according to the Threefold

Training Principle; applying conditions for the arising of right view to administer the institute systematically. To this aspect, what the school has already done is integration of the Threefold Training Principle in learning and teaching process, atmosphere and friendly reaction, and learner development activities.

3)            The aspect of achievement arisen from using the Threefold Training

Principle in Educational Institute administration is as follows; (1) To the institute, there is readiness in terms of resources of every factor of administration such as personnel, administration system, academics, budget, building and environment, media and source of learning, educational instrument, public utilities and welfares, and (2) To the community, the school has got trust from community as seen by the continuously increasing of students in each academic year.
