The research on the Parents’ Opinions toward the virtues and ethics of Students at Buddhist Sunday Educational Centre, WatYannawa, Bangkok. This research is a survey one with2 objectives, namely:- 1. The study of opinions of parents, students, the morality and ethics. and 2. To compare the opinions of parents and studentsthe virtues and ethics of Students at Buddhist Sunday Educational Centre, WatYannawa, Bangkok..The numbers of all the exemplary populations are 700 which are counted from the complete square given by R. V. Krejcie and
D. W. Morgan which consist of 260 examples. This, the researcher has fixed all the exemplary groups of 260 persons which are used in the research.
From the research, it is found that
1. Most of the persons who answered the questionnaires were the women of the numbers of 177 at the percentage of 68.1 and men of the numbers of 83 at the percentage of 31.9. Most of them were of the ages of 51 years on onward of the numbers of 113 persons at the percentage of 43.5 with the most level of education of B. A. of the number 198 persons, at the percentage of 76.2. They worked as the government officials and as the state business men of the numbers of 119 at the percentage of 41.8. Most of them have the income of 20,001 Bath onward of the numbers of 143 persons at the percentage of 55.0.
2. From the students’ parents’ views toward the students’ morality and ethics at Buddhist Sunday Educational Centre, WatYannawa, Bangkok, it is found that the students’ parents have the ideas toward the virtues and ethics possessed by the students at Buddhist Sunday Educational Centre, WatYannawa, Bangkok, are, in general, at the high level. When it is considered side by side, it is found that every side is at the high level in order as follows:- 1. On the side of the gratitude, 2. On the side of the honesty, 3. On the side of having the order and the discipline, 4. On the side responsibility, 5. On the side of effort, and 6. On the side of sacrifice.
3. The comparison of the parents’ views toward the virtues and ethics possessed by the students at Buddhist Sunday Educational Centre, WatYannawa, Bangkok, can be divided according to the sex, the age, the educational level, the occupation and the income. In general, it is found that the parents are of the same opinions about the students’ virtues and ethics at Buddhist Sunday Educational Centre, WatYannawa, Bangkok with the important point in statistics with the important point at the level of 0.05 which is not in compliance with the statistical research. |
