Abstract

 The Objectives of this research were, 1) to study concepts and theory of the development of religious education Dhamma division, of Sangha Administration, Region 1, 2) to study the general context of development of the administration of religious studies,Dhamma dividion, of the 1st region Sangha Administration and 3) to propose the mean of administration development of religious education, Dhamma division, of the 1st region Sangha Administration.

Methodology was the qualitative research collecting data from 18 key informants with the structured in-depth-interview by face-to-face interviewing and also data were collected from 8 participants in focus group discussion. Data from both steps were analyzed by descriptive interpretation.
The Findings of this research were as follows:
1) The concepts and theories of administration development of religious education, Dhamma division, were analyzed by SWOT concepts consisted of Strength, Weakness, Opportunity and Threat in 5 areas; curriculum, teachers, learning and teaching process, educational media and evaluation and measurement.
2) The general context of administration development of religious education, Dhamma division, of the 1st region Sangha Administration were that the administrative monks at all levels were good cooperative, had effective mechanism for curriculum administration, learners persuasions to comprehend the core of the curriculum that make teachers to have capacity, to be specialist individually, to be in appropriate numbers for teaching because they were in the center of education the more suitable place than up-country. There were the process of learning, there were strategic learning-teaching There were suitable techniques to catch the interests of learners by being clear, bravely, qualified teach media production and use that media to promote the capability of learning and teaching. The Sangha Order had annual plan for Sangha Administration to evaluate the operations with concise and clear plan for controlling.
3) The meanw for the administration development of religious education, Dhamma division, of the 1st region Sangha Administration were that 3.1 curriculum: There should be curriculum development coinciding with the formal education, 3.2 the teachers: Teachers should be professional with education, training and self developing at all times and 3.3 the learning - teaching process: there should be more time for each teaching session and 3.4 teaching aids: there should be using new technology in teaching so that learners could develop skills to use the technology for education and 3.5 evaluation and measurement : evaluation and measurement . There should be a standardized prototype with the same standard throughout the country.
