The Leadership for Temple Administration of Abbots in Maewong District Nakhonsawan Province

Abstract

ABSTRACT

 

              The main objectives of this research were i) to study the leadership in administration of the abbots in Maewong district  Nakhonsawan Provine ; ii) to compare  a views the leadership administration of the abbots in Maewong district  Nakhonsawan Provine ; and  iii) to study the problems and suggestions the Leadership in administration of the abbots in Maewong District  Nakhonsawan Province 

 

The study methods were used the mixed research methodology: quantitative research by using the random of monks and novices in Maewong District,Nakhonsawan Province ,175 people from a total population of 320 monks and novices by random sample using the formula of R.V.krejcie & D.W. morgan. The data collections were questionnaires and data were analyzed by using ready computer programme for social sciences research.

 

The statistical analysis of population data were frequency, percentage and perspective statistical analyzed the leadership administration of the abbots in Maewong District , Nakhonsawan Provine, with the Frequencies, the Means and the Standard Deviation. The describing and testing hypotheses of personal factors were t- test in order to test the differences between two average groups and the F-test by using One Way ANOVA to test the differences between the average of three or more and test the differences of the average pairing with the Least Significant Difference: LSD, and the qualitative research by In-Depth Interview with the primary key informants and engaging content analysis context.

 

The Findings of the research  were found  that 

 

1) the monks had opinions towards the leadership administration of the abbots in Maewong district, nakhonsawan provine, was at a high level (=4.21) when considered of each aspect of Three-Dimensional Leadership Theory: People-oriented Dimension, Task-oriented Dimension,   and Effectiveness Dimension of the leadership of. It was found that the monks had opinions towards the perspective of the leadership administration of the abbots in Maewong District , Nakhonsawan Province were high level in all aspects 

 

2) A comparison of the opinions of monks toward the leadership administration of the abbots in Maewong District , Nakhonsawan Provine by classifying  the personal factors: age, year, Degree of General Education, Degree of Dhamma Education, and Degree of Pali Education was found that the opinions of monks who were different experiences years, they also had the different opinions by statistically significant at the 0.05 level. So the hypothesis research was accepted as Degree of Pali Education was found that the opinions of monks different workplaces, they had different opinions by statistically significant at the 0.01 level. Therefore, the hypothesis research was accepted too. Out of these opinions of monks are silent so the hypothesis researches were not accepted. 

 

3) the problems and obstacles of the leadership in administration of the abbots in Maewong District , Nakhonsawan Province  was found that the The conduct of monks and novices  some not so neat in regulation. provides scholarships to children and youth, Lack of places to get youth into training.

 

Suggestions for the perspective of the leadership in administration of the abbots in Maewong District , Nakhonsawan Provine  was found that training service mind should be meeting for better attitudes and ideas and unselfishness. Moreover, all monks and novices should be participated the training to cultivate the morality,provides scholarships to monks and novices  Dhamma, Pali Education .
