Abstract

Abstract

                 The objective of this thesis is to study the Sons and Daughters’  Obligation, which affects their own Emotional Quotient (EQ) of the undergraduates at Rajabhat University’s Pathumthani campus. The sampling group, consists of 180 students, is specifically selected from the University’s undergraduates. Statistical used to conduct the research were analyses of basis data, i.e. percentage, average of and Standard Deviation. The T-Dependence and Analysis of Covariance (ANOVA) are used as analytical tools for the research objective.  If the result shows any significant statistical meaning the Scheffé method will be used for rectification. The research found that:

Majority of the sampling group shows moderate obligation value.  The study found that 1) Students return to their parents by offering them their preferred food. 2) Help on house work to relieve them from hard work. 3) Take them to gather with relatives and friends so they are always in touch. 4) Get together with them on holidays such as having meals, watching TV, planting and caring for pets. And 5) Take them to merit-making ceremonies.

The study found that the sampling group’s obligation to their parents, which affects their own EQ, is, in general, on a high level. It is also found that each obligation, which affects the children EQ, is on a high level for all divided topics.  Whilst, varieties of genders, ranks (in both numbers of years in the university and child number in a family) and occupations of parents, affects the EQ of the sampling group at no different level, at the statistical of 0.05.
