Abstract

 

Abstract

         The  objectives of this research were: 1) to study  Buddhist Bachelor Role Towards Social Development In Tak Province, 2) to compare the opinion of Buddhist Bachelors to Social Development in Tak Province, 3) To study problems, obstacles and suggestions for leading to process of Buddhist Bachelor development to match with the demand of society.

         This research is the mixed method research. For the quantitative research used the survey research by the sampling group were the 6 alumni of Buddhist bachelors from Tak academic service unit and 184 out of total population of 336 monks/persons that the sampling group used the formula of Taro Yamane. The researcher had the data analysis through frequencies, percentage, and average, standard deviation (S.D) for describing data from variables or personal characteristics. The analysis was also done through t-test for analysis the hypotheses in order to test the average difference between the two groups and f- test by one-way ANOVA and presented the article with table by explaining the frequency of opened questionnaire correspondents. For the qualitative research used in-depth interview from 7 key informants through the content analysis technique.

The findings of this research as follows :

          1. The persons who finished the Buddhist bachelors or pundit had the opinion to the role to social development in Tak province, in overall, was at high level. When classified by each aspect, such as the role of academy to serve the society, the culture and arts preservation and Buddhism propagation and knowledge development to serve the society, found that the people who finished the Buddhist bachelors had the opinion at high level in all aspects.

          2. The findings the comparison to persons who finished the Buddhist bachelor to Social Development in Tak Province, classified by personal data and found that the difference of status, age , year of Buddhist bachelors and kinds of agencies. For the persons who had the difference of age and kinds of agencies had the opinion to the role of Buddhist bachelors to social development in Tak province differently. But the persons, who had the difference of status and year of Buddhist bachelors, had the opinion to persons who finished the Buddhist bachelor to social development in Tak province indifferently.

         3. The problems, obstacles and suggestions for the role of Buddhist bachelors to social development in Tak province and found that the academic service to society, should set up the activity to participate theprojects with government agencies for creating the role on academic exchange stage including to set up the organization to show academic works to society, network creation for academic service to society with other universities or have the training the academic service network to society to Buddhist bachelors use as the base on knowledge development in the sake of next Buddhist bachelors to have the public minded work.

            The culture and arts preservation and Buddhism propagation: should have the structure to preserve the arts and culture clearly, especially Sangha University should be the main institution to preserve arts and culture more clearly. To set up the group of Pundit organization or alumni organization to preserve the arts and culture to promote the alumni to participate the activity of Buddhism as community leaders. The university should have the pattern to promote the Buddhist bachelors or pundit to use the fully knowledge of Buddhism for Buddhism maintenance.

            The knowledge development to serve the society: should find enough time to increase the lost thing and find the some mistakes of knowledge to be transferred and knowledge development, to set up the special lecture by social development academician to adding the skill to Buddhist bachelors or pundits that will lead to own knowledge development and collect the experience of own knowledge development to serve the society.
