A Study of Motivation in Pali Study of Pali Grade 1-2 Students under 4 Iddhipadas of Pali Phrapariyattidhamma Scools in Nakhonpathom Province

Abstract

Abstract

              The 3 objectives of this research are 1) to study the motivation in Pali study of  Pali grade 1-2 students under 4 Iddhipadas of  Pali Phrapariyattidhamma Scools of Nakhonpathom Province, 2) to study the relation between the individual factors and the motivation in Pali study of  Pali grade 1-2 students under 4 Iddhipadas of  Pali Phrapariyattidhamma Scools of Nakhonpathom Province and 3) to study the suggestions of motivation in Pali study of  Pali grade 1-2 students under 4 Iddhipadas of  Pali Phrapariyattidhamma Scools of Nakhonpathom Province. The quantitative research methodology is used for running the research. The instrument used for collecting the data is the questionnaire. The sampling group used for collecting the data is 143 monks and novices who are the students, studying in the class of Pali grade 1-2  of Pali Phrapariyattidhamma schools in Nakhonpathom Province. The data are analyzed by using the packaged program for sociological research to find out the value of frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation. The standard test made by using statistics of Pearson Chi-Square Test for explaining the relation between the independent variables and dependent variables.

 

 

 

 

 

 

              On the result of the research, it is found that;

              1. The ideas of the motivation in Pali study of  Pali grade 1-2 students under 4 Iddhipadas of  Pali Phrapariyattidhamma Scools of Nakhonpathom Province  of the monks and novices who are the students, studying in the class of Pali grade 1-2 of Pali Phrapariyattidhamma schools in Nakhonpathom Province, in general features, are at the high level ( mean = 3.70 ), Being considered in detail in each an aspect, they are at the high level in all aspects.

              2. On the result of hypothetical testing by using the statistical value of Chi-Square at the statistical significance level of 0.05, it is found that the status, age and years of rains- retreats of the monks and novices who are the students, studying in the class of Pali grade 1-2  of Pali Phrapariyattidhamma schools in Nakhonpathom Province are related to the motivation in Pali study of  Pali grade 1-2 students under 4 Iddhipadas of  Pali Phrapariyattidhamma Scools of Nakhonpathom Province. This is hereby agreed with all the set research hypothesis.

              3. For the suggestions of the way of creating the motivation in the motivation in Pali study of  Pali grade 1-2 students under 4 Iddhipadas of  Pali Phrapariyattidhamma Scools of Nakhonpathom Province, in the aspect of achievement, the school abbot should give the prize to those who passed  the Pali examination of each grade and fix the prize for each grade clearly, in the aspect of praising, the school abbot should make a declaration of praising and lauding those who finished their education in front of the public and support those who are studying, In the aspect of work feature, the school abbot should find the ways and allow the students to get the opportunity of learning with modern method, in the aspect of taking responsibilities, the school abbot should give students a chance of taking a part of responsibilities in making the learning plan, in the aspect of progressiveness, the school abbot should support and pay the attention to the achieved persons, in the aspect of the individual growth, the school abbot should give students a chance for showing their personal abilities in studying.
