Abstract
The main objectives of this research were: i) to study the community development in accordance with the Sangahavatthu IV of the Ratchathewi’s Office, Bangkok, ii) to study the attitude of the public towards the community development in accordance with the Sangahavatthu IV of the Ratchathewi’s Office, Bangkok, and iii) to study the problems, obstacles and suggestions in the community development in accordance with the Sangahavatthu IV of the Ratchathewi’s Office, Bangkok. The mixed research method was employed in this study by using Quantitative and Qualitative Research techniques. The research was conducted by using a Survey method including questionnaires collected by using a sampling population of 398 in the Office and analyzed by using Frequency, Percentage, Mean and Standard Deviation (S.D.). In the other hand, the data gathered from 5 key informants by in-depth interview were analyzed by using Content Analysis technique.
The findings of this study were concluded as follows:
1. The overall level of the community development in accordance with the Sangahavatthu IV of the Ratchathewi’s Office, Bangkok was found at the good. Having been considered in each aspect, all were noticed at good levels ranging from the most to the least in terms of mean values like Samanattata, Atthacariya, Piyavaja and Dana aspects, respectively.
2. Regarding to the comparison of the opinions on community development in accordance with Sangahavatthu IV of the Ratchathewi’s Office, Bangkok, being classified by personal factors, it was were found no significant differences.
3. With regard to the problems, obstacles and suggestions in the community development in accordance with the Sangahavatthu IV of the Ratchathewi’s Office, Bangkok, the study revealed that community development in the review of distribution of official’s coordination and communities were performed well enough. The coordination of developments was smooth as it should be in the Ratchathewi’s office. Assistant Secretary for Community representatives was sufficient to perform for coordinated tasks, the community service, including feedback information whether it was requested as it was still performed good, not lead to obstacles on the perception of people in the community development as in Samanattata aspect, that is to be consistent or has behaved consistently, no discrimination for performance whether in the field of community development or personal matter. Besides, some aspects of management were of consistency in the field of community development.
