Abstract

Abstract

             The research entitled as The Life Quality of Meditation Practitioners According to Luang Phor Thain Cittasubho : A Case Study of Wat Sanam-nai, Nonthaburi” has two objectives as follows : 1) to study the level of quality of life of meditation practitioner and 2) to compare the differences in the level of quality of life of meditation practitioner classified by sex, ages, education, Buddhist status, occupation and meditation practices experiences. The sampled consisted of 134 meditation practitioner at wat Sanam-Nai Nonthaburi. The instrument for date collecting is questionnaire. Statistics used were frequency distribution, percentage, mean standard deviation, t-test, one-way ANOVA and followed by the last significance differences (LSD.)

The results are as follow:

             General Information found that meditation practitioners were mostly   female (53%) ,ages more than 60 years old (28%), Laywomen (45.5%) bachelor degree(37.3%) and more than 4 years of experiences of Meditation practices.

             The Level of quality of Life found that, the samples have quality of life in total of four aspects at high level ( =4.14). And by consideration in all aspects, its can be listed the level of quality of life from more to less as social, emotional Cognitive and physical development with mean equal to 4.18, 4.17, 4.14, and 4.08 respectively.

             Life Quality Differences found that samples differ in occupations, Buddhist Status and experience in meditation practices have statistical significant differences in quality of life al 0.05 level. Whereas, the samples with sex, ages, and educational qualification differences have no differences in quality of life.
