Abstract

 

               The objectives of this research were; 1. to  study of moral cultivation of students at Lao International College, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, 2. to compare the opinions on moral cultivation of students at Lao International College, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, and 3. to study problems and suggestions in moral cultivation of students at Lao International College, Lao People’s Democratic Republic. The mixed research methodology was used in the study. The quantitative data were collected from 309 students by questionnaires, and the qualitative data were collected through interviews with 7 lecturers of Lao International College, Lao People’s Democratic Republic. The statistics used in data analysis consisted of mean, standard deviation, t-test and F-test.

               The research finding found that:

               1. Students’ opinion towards moral and ethics implantation in total was at the high level. The highest level was on honesty, followed by responsibility and discipline respectively.

               2. Students with different genders, ages, years in study, and majors in study had different levels of opinions on moral and ethics implantation with significant statistic figure at 0.05.

         3. Problems and suggestions obtained from the study were; 1) In honesty, activities enhancing honesty should be arranged regularly, teachers should behave and work honestly, and the honest personnel should be praised and rewarded, 2) In discipline, time management activities, punctuality, dress code, and unpunctual penalty should be implemented on campus, and 3) In responsibility, work assignments and work conditions should be given based on the time frame, and responsibility should be integrated in teaching and learning in every subject.
