Abstract

Abstract

                 The objectives of this research were to study the state of basic Morality  and ethics enhancement of students in Chaophraya Witthayakhom School under Office of Secondary Educational Service Area 2, Bangkok, and to study a guideline of basic Morality and ethics enhancement of students in Chaophraya Witthayakhom School under Office of Secondary Educational Service Area 2, Bangkok. The quantitative data were collected from 285 samples studying in secondary level 1-6 by questionnaires. The in-depth interviews were made with 10 teachers and 10 students. The data were analyzed by mean and standard deviation.

 

The results of the study found that:

1. The opinion of students towards basic Morality and ethics enhancement of students in Chaophraya Witthayakhom School under Office of Secondary Educational Service Area 2, Bangkok, was at the high level overall. The highest level started with discipline, followed by politeness, unity, tidiness, honesty, hospitality, diligence, economy respectively.

2. The guidelines of basic Morality and ethics enhancement of students in Chaophraya Witthayakhom School under Office of Secondary Educational Service Area 2, Bangkok were as follows;

1) In diligence, to encourage students in study and punctuality by rewarding, praising and giving certificates, 2) In economy, to encourage students in saving, having contentment, and doing daily pay account, 3) In honesty, to encourage students in behaving sincerely privately and publicly, 4) In discipline, to encourage students in wearing proper uniforms by the school dress code, punctuality and lining up, 5) In politeness, to encourage students in giving a Wai to the older and teachers and conversing to their counterparts with polite words, 6) In tidiness, to encourage students in keeping the classroom clean and tidy by rotation schedules, 7) In unity, to encourage students in team working, and 8) In hospitality, to encourage students in advantages and disadvantages of charity and service minded activities.
