The employees Commitment to local Admistrative Organizations in North eastern Region Thailand.

Abstract

ABSTRACT

 

กกกกกกกกThe objectives of this study were 1) to study theories and concepts about organizational commitment of employees in local government organizations in the North Eastern Provinces 2) to study the enhancement of  organizational commitment of employees in local government organizations in the North Eastern Provinces and3) to propose a model of organizational commitment enhancement of employees in local government organizations  in the North Eastern Provinces.

กกกกกกกกMethodology was the consequential mixed research; quantitative and qualitative,using quantitative method as the principal mean supported by qualitative research method. The quantitative research method collected data from 177 out of 320 local government employees in 5 provinces. They were Nakornrachaseema, KhornKhaen, Udonthani, Ubonrajjathani and Sakhonakorn.  The data were collected by questionnaires with the reliable level at 0.96 and IOC. value at1.00. Statistics used for data analysis were percentage, average, standard deviation.

                       As for the qualitative research method, the data were collected by In-Depth-Interview with 22 Key Informants who are local government organization leaders selected by the purposeful method. 

                   Findings were as follows :

                   1. The organizational commitment of local government organization employees was of three elements; working process, organizational shared values and culture and regularly appraisal.

The enhancement of organizational commitment of local government organization employees in the North Eastern Provinces emphasized three working development processes; on the job training and coaching, participative responsibility and organizational communication. These three elements were factors enhancing organizational commitment of local government organization employees in the North Eastern Provinces.

กกกกกกกก3. The enhancing model of organizational commitment of local government organization employees in the North Eastern Provinces is 3 H’s  Model; Head, Heart and Hand.

กกกกกกกกHead is for collective thinking, collectively thinking of new plan and project, job standards and benchmark and evaluation process for the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.

กกกกกกกกHeart is for collective willingness. Organizations delegate and empower responsibility to all sections to carry on the creative planning and work enhancement with honesty and kind hearts for all fellow workers.

กกกกกกกกHand is for collective operation. The organizations express collective enthusiasm for collective operational success in rendering the best practice and the best service to people which is the ultimatum goal of local government organizations.

กกกกกกกกBy this 3 H’s Model, the local government organizations in the Northeast Provinces can reinforce the organizational commitment of employees.
