A Study of Life Quality in Work Performance of Public Health Ministry Personel, Maharaj Hospital, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province

Abstract

The objectives of this thesis were as follows : 1) to study the life quality in work performance of public health ministry personel, Maharaj hospital, Nakhon Si Thammarat province. 2) to compare the life quality in work performance of public health ministry personel, Maharaj hospital, Nakhon Si Thammarat province in term  sexes,ages,incomes,marital statuses and mission groups as differently, and. 3) to study the suggestion on problem and the guideline for development of life quality in work performance of public health ministry personel,  Maharaj hospital, Nakhon Si Thammarat province.

The research was composed of mix methods (qualitative and quantitative research). The population were composed of public health ministry personel who are working in Maharaj hospital, Nakhon Si Tammarat province. There are about 753 persons, sample size according to Krejcie and Morgan’s table measurement, the samples were amount 254 persons and scholars in specialist for public health who are working in Maharaj hospital, Nakhon Si Tammarat province for six persons. The instrument for this research was questionnaire. The statistics were applied as follow; percentage, Mean, standard deviation, t–test, Ftest, one way ANOVA, Scheffe’s method and content analysis technique.

The findings were as follows.

1.    The life quality in work performance of public health ministry personel, Maharaj hospital, Nakhon Si Tammarat province by overview was at moderate level for all aspects ( =2.97) when considered in each aspect from more to less found that the aspect of life and family was the highest mean ( =3.09) and followed up the aspect of organizational democracy ( =3.00) and the aspect of security and work progression ( =2.87) was the lowest mean When classified in terms of sex, age, incomes, marital status and mission group found that there were at moderate level. 

2.    The comparative result on level of life quality in work performance of public health ministry personel, Maharaj hospital, Nakhon Si Thammarat province in terms of sexes, ages and incomes found that there were not different by overview but in term of marital statuses and mission groups found that there were different as statistically significance at 0.05

3.    The problem and resolution in life quality development in work performance of public health ministry personel, Maharaj hospital, Nakhon Si Thammarat province found that  the aspect of work was less of salary and welfare of public health ministry personel when compared with work quantity or work responsibility as a result, there was not motivation in work, not enough of instrument, material and equipment in work for some categories and modernless i.e. old version of computer  could not run along with new version that are continueos development. The aspect of life and family; work responsibility, be on duty was over times as a result, there were effected to life and family. The organizational democracy; the office gave opportunity to express opinion but not accept to perform as much, the consideration of compensation was not justice. The aspect of work progression; the recent work was not going along with ability or skill development, less of training and seminar or futher study for taking more knowledge and ability. The resolution in life quality development in work performance of public health ministry personel, Maharaj hospital, Nakhon Si Tammarat found that the aspect of working; there should run up the salary or compensation for recent living  or the office should  set up the living fund. There should promote instrument, material or equipment in work for more enough and modernity. The aspect of life and family; there should put more personel in some work for being on less of duty the making health and family impact. The aspect of organizational democracy; the office should accept the suggestion and bring to perform according to righteousness and suitability as more and more, the consideration of compensation or merit, there should considered from work product. The aspect of security and progressive opportunity in work; there should support and promote for public health ministry personel they could develop ability and skill, training, seminar or futher study for more knowledge and ability in sustainability and have more progression in duty as more and more.
