Abstract

The objectives of research paper were (1) to study Buddhist human resource development of Sangha administrators in Paktho district, Ratchaburi province, (2) to compare the opinion of the monks to Buddhist human resource development of Sangha administrators in Paktho district, Ratchaburi province, classified by personal data, and (3) to study the problem, obstacle and suggestion for Buddhist human resource development of Sangha administrators in Paktho district, Ratchaburi province. The research methodology was the mixed method research, that the quantitative research used the questionnaire as the tool to collect the data in the field study from 238 monks in Paktho district, Ratchaburi province. The statistics were used for the data analysis through frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation (S.D.), t-test, F-test, One-way Analysis of Variance and Least Significant Difference: LSD. And the qualitative research had the documentary analysis and interview as the tool to collect the data in the field study from 12 key informants and analyzed the data through the content analysis technique.

             The findings of this research were as following:

             1. Buddhist human resource development of Sangha administrators in Paktho district, Ratchaburi province, Overall was found in medium level with average at mean of 3.45, the aspects that has the most value include the raining aspect at mean of 3.88, the aspects with the lowest mean include the development aspect at mean of 3.44

             2.The comparison for opinion of the monks to Buddhist human resource development of Sangha administrators in Paktho district, Ratchaburi province classified by personal data found that years of being monk had the significantly at 0.05, the hypothesis was accepted. And, general education had the significantly at 0.01, the hypothesis was accepted. But, those personal statuses were position, age and Dhamma education results not different.

             3. The problem and obstacles for Buddhist human resource development of Sangha administrators in Paktho district, Ratchaburi province, as following; lack of good evaluation, the trainers are internal trainers, training in less time, the scholarship is minimal, lack of personnel development plan, lack of the budget. And suggestion for Buddhist human resource development of Sangha administrators in Paktho district, Ratchaburi province, as following; should be measured and assessed in both quantitative and qualitative terms when before and after the training, should be used by highly qualified persons or highly experienced persons to lecture, should made short-term, medium and long-term training course, should support more scholarships to monks and novices should support education for personnel of religion as needed, should made short-term, medium and long-term human development plan, and should allocate budget to develop the potential of the personnel of religion, concretely.
