But were decreased untill to zero point under Lon Nol and and Khmer Rouge governments because of the politic problem. However, when Buddism was renaissance, education of Sangha was not yet refreshed because of instability politic and also were numbering monks controlled by the state that limited the monkhood must be 50 years age up.

At present time, The education of Sangha in the Kingdom of Cambodia has been constantly developing but faced with many problems and obstacles as like lacking the understanding of policy education management which no unity between central and region sections, insufficient budget allocated; especially for development human resources as teachers training, schools building, tools of education, and also for monthly salary of teachers. Also, curriculums of Buddhism education were almost standard and disaccord with general curriculums of Ministry of Sport and Youth which control all institutes of education, from these problems caused the monks must paid attention to the professional courses than Buddhism courses.
