Atitude of Education Development of Lao People’s Democratic Republic Sangha: A case Study of Buddhist High Schools in Savanakhet Province 2010

Abstract

The objective of this thesis are to study the attitude of education development, the problems, and the resolutions the education problems in Lao people’s democratic republic Sangha, a cases  Study of  Buddhist High Schools in Savanakhet Province, the sample groups of this thesis are 205 Monks/ people the school  administrator  ,teachers,  and students. A tool of this thesis is questionnaire which divided into 3 parts 1) the general questions about the samplings  2) the questions of attitude of Sangha‘s education development 3) the problems and the resolutions   of education management by using the statistical analysis as like the percentage, Means, Standard deviation.  

                          This study found that;

                         Attitude for education development of Sangha is high scale, when study on each categories found that education management, curriculum, learning, evaluation, personal education management is in high scale, but curriculum management is in highest Means and learning is in shortest Means, the highest of each categorical scales are; 1) make a plan for education development,2) themes of each courses are for moral training, 3) teachers can make his/her well understanding, 4) make a plan for evaluation development, 5) make a plan for personal education development.

                For the problem of education and the resolutions of Sangha’s education which rank by opinions are as follow,1) the administrator is not depend on quality and well- knowledge allocated personal education, 2) curriculum for make the students have large vision and applies it for lives in present day is low, 3) no modern technology for applies in education, 4) justice on examination, 5) unenough teachers. The resolutions of these problems are;1) should allocate well – knowledge and skill teachers in each departments, 2) curriculum should depend on status of social and general also standard, 3) state and Sangha administrator should sufficient budget allocated for support the tools of education, teacher training, etc. 4) evaluation should not depend on oral testing, and they should have the center examination committee.
