Abstract

 

Abstract

 

The objectives of this research were : 1) to study the level of behavior and cognitive Buddhist holistic health of clinical diabetes patients at Rajavithi Hospital, 2) to study the differences of the level of Buddhist holistic health sparating by general informations. The sample consisted of 252 clinical diabetes patients at Rajavithi hospital. and 3) to study the relationship of behavior and cognitive in each about the perception of  Buddhist holistic health. Research instruments were questionars. Statistics used for data analysis consisted of percentage,mean ( ), standard deviation(S.D.) and testing hypothesis using t-test, One-way ANOVA and Pearsons Product  Moment correlation.

 

The Results are as follows.

1)      General Information

It found that the samples mostly are female (61.9%), age more than 60 (42.1%), weight 61-70 kilograms (36.1%), height 151-160 centimeters (58.7%) married (77.0%), doing Business (43.3%), high school and bellow (73.0%). and income Bath 5,001-15,000 per month (49.2%)

                It found that the samples mostly are diabetes diagnosis 5-10 years (36.5%), begin take the preservation since , be the diabetes (97.2%), duration of recheck 2 months (40.9%), non stay at hospital for diabetes diagnosis (71.9%), control water palmyra level by doctor modern medicine (64.3%), there is the symptoms has complications from the diabetes (79.6%) and symptoms doesn't be severe (78.6%)

2)      The Level of  Holistic Health Perception:

 It found that the samples perceived behavior and cognitive of Buddhist holistic health of all aspects in total at the high level ( = 3.60), in each aspects at the high levels which can be listed form the highest to lowest such as physical, psychological cognitive and social aspects espectively ( =3.68, 3.67, 3.52 and 3.51).

3)      The Differences of Holistic Health Perception:

 It found that the samples with the differences in sex, ages, occupations, educations, incomes, intervening diseases, got the significant differences in behavior and cognitive of Buddhist holistic health at 0.01 level. Whereas the sample with the differences in weight, height, marital status, duration of clinical diabetes, stay / non-stay for treating at hospital, the level of intervening diseases got no differences in the level of behavior and cognitive of Buddhist holistic health.

4)      The Relationship between Aspects of Buddhist Holistic Health

 It found the relationship between behavior and cognitive of the Buddhist Holistic Health of each aspects such as physical and social, social and psychological, social and all aspects, psychological and cognitive and psychological and all aspects at the 0.01 level, and physical and psychological aspects at 0.05 level. Whereas there are no relationship between physical and psychological aspects.
